Triple J Hottest 100

The Triple J Hottest 100 of 2025 takes place on Saturday January 24 and we've got the latest betting odds for which song will be crowned No. 1.

The Triple J Hottest 100 is the world’s biggest music poll, where listeners vote for their favourite songs released during the previous year. It’s an annual cultural event in Australia that culminates with a nationwide countdown each January. This year, the countdown for songs released in 2025 will be broadcast on Saturday, 24 January 2026. Voting closed in mid-January after tens of millions of listeners had their say.

There's a clear frontrunner in the market, with Olivia Dean's smash hit 'Man I Need' a massive $1.20 favourite with online bookmaker PlayUp.

Trends & Listener Behaviour

  • Solo artists and pop acts look set to dominate again - recent analysis shows bands have been declining as a share of entries, and solo performers often take the top positions.

  • There’s been strong engagement from voters across Australia, with over 2 million votes already cast.

  • After a comparatively low number of Australian artist entries in the previous poll, there’s hope among listeners that homegrown music might feature more strongly in this year’s list.

Leading Contenders

  • “Man I Need” – Olivia Dean — strong chart performance and heavy airplay suggest she’s a favourite to poll very high.

  • "iPod Touch" – Ninajirachi — popular among Triple J listeners and appearing on prediction playlists.

  • “Dancing2” – Keli Holiday — gained strong traction and is mentioned regularly in fan predictions. Big social media presence.

  • “Keith” – Playlunch — novelty and underground buzz could see this track break into a high position.
