Booker Prize 2022 Betting Odds - Who will win the Booker Prize?

Being nominated for the award is seen as a real mark of distinction, while winning the prize is a major moment in the life of any writer. Winning the prize is usually met by celebration and a real bump in sales of the book due to huge international publicity. 

The winner is announced at a formal event at the Guildhall in London in October. The winner of the prize is seen as the best book of the year, although some have questioned whether a small group should have the power to credit one book as the best, rather than taking into account public consensus. 

This year, the nominations for the Booker Prize are:

The current favourite to win the Booker Prize is Small Things Like These, by Claire Keegan. This book is $2.50 with Ladbrokes to scoop the prize. Interestingly, there are two candidates right behind Keegan's book at $4.00, with The Trees and Treacle Walker seen as likely winners. 

The apparent underdog is Glory by Noviolet Bulawayo, with the bookie making it $7.50 to win. 

Clearly, the bookie has been unable to really separate any of the candidates, which makes the betting very interesting. This means there is some value to be enjoyed across the board, although there is no major underdog meaning that if the pick with the longest odds wins, you will hardly be paid out massively well. 

Despite this, the shorter odds seem to intonate that any of the picks could win. This means that you could potentially win with any of the picks that are currently available to you.
