USA Mullet Championships

Yes, you absolutely read that headline right, there is a Mullet Championship in the USA, and we could not be more excited to see the greatest in mullet growing from across America.

Boasting divisions for kids and teens, the major draw of the championship is the Men's Open and the Femullet (the women's open). The latter two divisions will bring a lot of interest, but the question remains, why is this a trend again?

Well, hairstyles may go out of fashion as the months and years tick by, but few hairstyles actually disappear entirely. While we may wish that some styles don't ever rear their ugly heads again, the mullet is one that always seems either in style, or on the cusp of coming back.

That is exactly what the mullet has done now, with the mullet championship celebrating the very best in the hairstyle.

For the adult competitions, registration does not close until August 31st, meaning those with a glorious mullet can still try to get involved. On offer is $2500 to the winner, with second and third taking a Mullet Champs gift set.

The competition is partnered with Major League Eating and is currently on the road as it looks to find and celebrate the best in mullets. While there will be no shortage of mullet-ers that believe they have the best in their category, only one can be crowned the best of the best.

The championships provide most of those without a mullet or those that are in the early-stages of growing one with the chance to enjoy the best in the hairstyle. Maybe these championships are the early steps towards seeing the mullet sweep across the world once again.

The 2021 male winner was Clint Duncan, while the Femullet winner was Cassidy Jenson.
