The 2022 World Excel Championship is finally upon us with the greatest in Excel worksheets coming together to battle to be named the World Excel champion.

As if there was not enough high-stakes Excel battling earlier this year in the All-Star Battle, the Excel World Championship returns this year.

Qualification for the tournament began following an October 6 deadline which saw all interested parties signing up.

128 of the best came through in the qualifying rounds on October 8, with this being whittled down to the last 32 as of October 29.

These numbers will go down to the last 16 and the last eight. From there, the final round of the competition is to be played on November 12.

This high stakes Excel work-sheet battle will see one session with eight players battling to be named the champion.

Last year almost half a million people watched the event, which shows you that there is real interest in this event.

The reported prize money for the winner is $3000. The runner-up will receive $2000, with the semi-finalists each getting $1000. With a huge audience tuning in and decent prize money on offer, there is real incentive to win the competition.
