Partizan aims to rebound in front of their home fans after a disappointing Euroleague opener against Dubai. Still seeking team cohesion, they must overcome form issues to defeat a confident Milano, who just beat Red Star despite missing starting guard Lorenzo Brown. LeDay led Milano's charge and could be key again against his former team. Historically, both teams have enjoyed away wins in this matchup. With high quality in their squad and a passionate home crowd, Partizan is tipped to fight back strongly.

Partizan Form & Team News

Partizan entered the new season with big ambitions, but it is clear that they still need time for cohesion and roster completion.

They traveled to Dubai aiming to start their Euroleague campaign with a win but returned home completely outplayed and beaten without putting up a fight.

At no point in the game did Partizan look like the team that, at one stage last season, played some of the best basketball in the league.

From the very start, they allowed their opponent to get into rhythm and punish them mercilessly with three-point shooting, especially through former Partizan player Davis Bertans.

Apart from Dylan Osetkowski in the first half and Tyrique Jones in the second, Partizan barely had any players performing at a solid level.

The biggest disappointment was team leader Carlik Jones, who in 30 minutes scored only 4 points with a dreadful 1/10 from the field.

Milano Form & Team News

The schedule arranged for Milano to play both Belgrade teams in the first two rounds of the Euroleague.
They overcame the first hurdle, Crvena Zvezda, successfully.

Traditionally, they enjoy playing against Crvena zvezda, having won 9 of their last 10 meetings.

Until the end of the third quarter, the game was close, but early in the fourth Milano made a decisive 14:2 run to reach their biggest lead of 12 points. They managed that advantage calmly and closed out the game efficiently.

They played this match without starting point guard Lorenzo Brown, who is struggling with a thigh injury.
In his absence, Nico Mannion and Leandro Bolmaro took on more playmaking duties and did an excellent job.

For scoring duties, Zach LeDay stepped up as the main executor, finishing with a game-high 21 points on excellent shooting percentages.

It remains to be seen whether the power forward can once again shine against his former club, where he spent three seasons.

Head to Head

Last season, both teams grabbed one win each. Interestingly, both victories came on the road. Partizan was particularly dominant in Milan, where they won 90:70.

Verdict

Partizan certainly did not shine in the opening round, but in front of their home fans and a sold-out arena, a completely different approach and energy is expected.

This team has enormous quality and potential, and it may take just one spark to ignite the atmosphere on the court and in the stands. In such an environment, every Euroleague opponent will find it extremely difficult to play.
