Sydney Kings vs Adelaide 36ers Frequently Asked Questions

It was Davis who got the upper hand in the first meeting this season with their new teams, the Kings’ guard dropped 22 against his old club Adelaide, while Cotton was shut down with his lowest score of the season, finishing on just 7 points, back in Round 4.

It was Adelaide’s lowest team score of the season as well, losing the matchup 103-79 to Sydney, however, I do not expect this game to fall that way. The 36ers have been the most if not the only consistent team over the last month, winning 7 straight matches, while they have watched the rest of the NBL trade blows with each other.

I expect an eighth straight win for Adelaide with this game being played on a neutral court in Canberra. Cotton will be aggressive after a quiet performance last match against the Kings and Kendric Davis will also come alive, so jump on the pair for 25+ points each.

Adelaide have won 7 matches in a row
Kendric Davis averages 28.6 points when facing Bryce Cotton
Bryce Cotton averages a league-high 26.8 points in NBL26.
Bryce Cotton has had 8+ assists in 5 of his last 6 games.

Sydney Kings Form & Team News

Round 12 was a positive one for the Kings, who took two wins in 3 days against teams that were higher than them on the later before the round started.

A dominant second half where they outscored the Wildcats 64-37 ensured a 29-point victory in Perth on Friday, filling the Kings with confidence after two straight losses, which was just what they needed to stop in Melbourne on the way home and get an ugly come from behind victory against United.

The final stages of the match against Melbourne could be some of the worst basketball I have watched with the Kings coming back from 7 points down and forcing overtime. The extra period was a tough watch with both teams closing their eyes and throwing the ball at the basket with just 10 points scored in total in the extra 5 minutes given. Sydney got lucky and bury a couple of late baskets to get the victory 92-86.

Adelaide 36ers Form & Team News

The 36ers match against Melbourne in Round 12 almost got away from them after leading by as much as 18 points in the third quarter. Adelaide couldn’t buy a basket in the late stages of the match and United outscored them by 14 points in the the fourth quarter to force overtime.

An early 7-point flurry by Cotton before getting fouled out, set the platform for the 36ers in the extra term and they finished what they started with a 114-105 victory, even if it took them a little more time than they would have liked.

The win was Adelaide’s seventh straight as they took full command over Melbourne at the top of the NBL ladder with an extra win and two games in hand. The 36ers are doing everything right at both ends of the court, ranked first in offensive rating while giving up the third-least amount of points to their opponents at 86.3 per game.
