Round 12 was a positive one for the Kings, who took two wins in 3 days against teams that were higher than them on the later before the round started.

A dominant second half where they outscored the Wildcats 64-37 ensured a 29-point victory in Perth on Friday, filling the Kings with confidence after two straight losses, which was just what they needed to stop in Melbourne on the way home and get an ugly come from behind victory against United.

The final stages of the match against Melbourne could be some of the worst basketball I have watched with the Kings coming back from 7 points down and forcing overtime. The extra period was a tough watch with both teams closing their eyes and throwing the ball at the basket with just 10 points scored in total in the extra 5 minutes given. Sydney got lucky and bury a couple of late baskets to get the victory 92-86.

The 36ers match against Melbourne in Round 12 almost got away from them after leading by as much as 18 points in the third quarter. Adelaide couldn’t buy a basket in the late stages of the match and United outscored them by 14 points in the the fourth quarter to force overtime.
