Both teams are on a good run at the moment in the Eastern Conference. The 10-3 Washington Wizards have won their last five games, and travel to Charlotte to take on the seventh placed 8-7 Hornets, who have won their last three matches.

The Wizards are the number one team in the Eastern Conference for a reason, as they have won their last five games against the Memphis Grizzlies, Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland Cavaliers and the Orlando Magic.

Tuesday’s win over the New Orleans Pelicans, extended their winning streak to five games as Spencer Dinwiddle (five rebounds, nine assists and 27 points) and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (four rebounds, two assists and 18 points) were the standout performers in the 105-100 win.

Charlotte Hornets Form

The Hornets are currently in seventh place in the Eastern Conference, with a 8-7 win-loss record. However, they have a pretty handy record based in their past five games.

The Hornets lost to the LA Clippers on November 8 and to the LA Lakers on November 9, but have since responded with three consecutive wins.

The first of those wins came against the Memphis Grizzlies, defeating them 118-108, before knocking off the New York Knicks 104-96.

They got their third straight win against the Golden State Warriors on Monday, defeating them 106-102 with Miles Bridges (eight rebounds, three assists and 22 points), LaMelo Ball (seven rebounds, five assists and 21 points) and Terry Rozier (one assist and 20 points) all playing pivotal roles.
