Greece reached the Round of 16 as the top team in Group C.
The group also included Spain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, Georgia, and hosts Cyprus, and was considered the toughest group in the tournament.

Dorsey scored 22 points with 6 made threes, while the usual leader Giannis Antetokounmpo finished just one assist shy of a triple-double (25 points, 14 rebounds, and 9 assists).
Double-digit scoring contributions also came from veterans Kostas Sloukas with 12 points and Kostas Papanikolaou with 11 points.

Just like Greece, Israel had the chance in the final round of the group stage to secure first place in their group with a win over Slovenia, which would have given them a much easier opponent in the Round of 16.
Unfortunately for them, they failed to overcome Slovenia and had to settle for fourth place.
They had no defensive answer for Luka Doncic, who scored in all kinds of ways while also creating opportunities for his teammates.
Deni Avdija matched him offensively with a fantastic performance of 34 points and 9 rebounds, but he simply did not have enough support from his teammates.
Roman Sorkin added 14 points, but had a terrible shooting night, going just 5/18 from the field.
Another double-digit scorer was Yam Madar with 10 points, but he also struggled from three-point range.
