Magic Millions 3YO Guineas 2026 - Barrier Draw & Final Field

The Michael Freedman-trained gelding appreciated the step up to 1300m at his latest outing, settling off the speed before producing a strong finish to score a comfortable win in the Vo Rogue Plate on January 3.

That performance has further strengthened Ninja’s credentials heading into the 2026 Magic Millions 3YO Guineas, where he has established himself as the horse to beat.

Icarian Dream (barrier 4) shapes as one of the key challengers and, while she has not won since defeating the talented Cool Archie 13 months ago, the daughter of Blue Point has been holding her form with third-place finishes at her past two starts.

Also prominent are Memo (barrier 8) and O’ Ole (barrier 10), the pair who filled the quinella in last year’s Magic Millions 2YO Classic.

Although it shapes as a much tougher assignment, the Kris Lees-trained Saxobushi (barrier 9) brings winning form into the race after claiming his past two starts, while Jimmy’s Brother (barrier 7) is another acceptor who arrives chasing a hat-trick of victories.

The Magic Millions 3YO Guineas is conducted under set weights and penalties over 1400m at the Gold Coast Racecourse in Queensland, with total prize money of $3 million on offer.

One of the flagship races of the Magic Millions carnival, the 3YO Guineas is restricted exclusively to horses that were sold or passed in at an official Magic Millions sale in Australia.

Recent winners of the event include Fashion Legend in 2023, Abounding in 2024, and Bosustow in 2025.
