After another turbulent start to the season, Milano have raised their level and are now close to a top-10 position. They currently hold a record of 8-7, and last week they recorded a huge win over one of the main title favorites, Panathinaikos, by a score of 96-89.

The final result does not fully reflect how convincing Milano were, as they took control of the game early in the second quarter and never looked back.

In that stretch, shooting guard Armoni Brooks was outstanding, scoring five three-pointers in the second quarter alone and sparking the decisive run.

Milano built a maximum lead of 23 points late in the third quarter, and the rest of the game was mostly routine, despite a slight drop in concentration in the final two minutes that did not seriously threaten the outcome.

Alongside Armoni Brooks, who had his best game of the season with 23 points, strong contributions came from Zach LeDay with 15 points, Shavon Shields with 13 points, Josh Nebo with 10 points and solid defensive work, and Quinn Ellis, who finished with 8 points and 8 assists.

Like Milano, Real Madrid also had a problematic start to the season, but things are slowly falling into place. Madrid are currently one of the in-form teams in the competition, having won their last four games. With a 9-6 record, they are tied with four other teams in fifth place.

Last week they hosted Baskonia, who offered strong resistance, but ultimately had to surrender to the superior quality of Real Madrid, who won 93-87.

Head coach Scariolo can be very pleased with the form of several players who struggled early in the season and were heavily criticized. This especially applies to Mario Hezonja and Facundo Campazzo, who once again played key roles in the latest victory.

The Croatian forward was the top scorer with 17 points, while the Argentine playmaker orchestrated the offense with 16 points and 5 assists. Theo Maledon also impressed with 15 points in just 15 minutes of action, and Edy Tavares added 11 points along with his usual dominant defensive presence.

Last season, each team claimed one win in their direct encounters. Milano won at home 85-76, with Zach LeDay standing out as one of the best players on the floor with 17 points and 8 rebounds.
