Despite numerous problems with injured players, Dubai are performing quite well in their debut EuroLeague season. After 15 rounds, they sit in 12th place with a 7:8 record, and excluding the game against Hapoel Tel Aviv that they played as hosts in Sarajevo, they have won all home games so far.

That was also the case last week when Bayern visited Dubai. For most of the game, the guests were the better and more concrete team. It seemed that Dubai would suffer their first home loss of the season when the opponent built a maximum lead of +12 early in the final quarter, but the Dubai players had other ideas and refused to give up.

In the end, the hero of the home team was point guard McKinley Wright, who scored a mid-range basket with less than a second remaining to secure a valuable victory.

He was also the most efficient player in the game with 22 points and 7 assists. Other players with double-digit scoring were Awudu Abass (15 pts), Mfiondu Kabengele (12 pts), Filip Petrusev (12 pts), Justin Anderson (11 pts), and Kosta Kondic (11 pts).

Dubai will once again be without injured Avramovic and Bacon, while the availability of Musa, Ellis, and Prepelic remains uncertain.

Maccabi Tel Aviv Form & Team News

Maccabi Tel Aviv have shown clear improvement in recent weeks, along with a rise in form that has been reflected in their results. With two consecutive wins, they managed to move away from the bottom of the table and now sit in 16th place with a 5:10 record.

After a big road win in Kaunas, they defeated ASVEL 92:84 in the previous round. In addition to the victory, Maccabi fans will remember this game as their first EuroLeague match at the Menora Mivtachim Arena after a full two years.

As expected, the atmosphere in the arena was excellent, and the crowd gave the players extra energy to overcome a highly motivated opponent who played one of their best games of the season.

Lonnie Walker and Roman Sorkin were key in preventing an upset and an unpleasant defeat, combining for 55 points and 16 rebounds.

Jaylen Hoard also had a notable performance with 15 points and 7 rebounds, along with several strong defensive sequences.

Head to Head

This will be the first of two direct matchups between Dubai and Maccabi Tel Aviv. The second is scheduled for March 26, when they will meet in Round 34.

Verdict

BC Dubai v Maccabi Tel Aviv

Both teams play at a very fast pace and are among the more efficient teams in the EuroLeague. By all parameters, we can expect a game with a high number of points.

Dubai are still unbeaten at home, but that streak is bound to end sooner or later, especially considering that they narrowly escaped defeat in their last two home games. I would not be surprised if Maccabi become the first team to beat them there, given that they have been playing their best basketball in recent weeks.
