Fenerbahce aims to build momentum after recent victories, including an 81–67 win over ASVEL and a domestic victory against Buyukcekmece. Key contributions from Wade Baldwin and Nicolo Melli boosted their confidence. Conversely, Maccabi Tel Aviv is eager to end a three-game losing streak. Fenerbahce Form & Team News

Fenerbahce has been struggling to find consistent form in recent weeks and still cannot string together multiple wins that would lift them up the Euroleague standings.

After two heavy defeats against Spanish teams Valencia and Real Madrid, they managed to bounce back last week with a relatively comfortable 81–67 win over ASVEL. It was far from a perfect performance - Fener showed some weaknesses, but the French side is currently not a serious rival.

The home team was led by Wade Baldwin with 14 points and 7 assists. Nicolo Melli came close to a double-double with 12 points and 9 rebounds, while Bonzie Colson (11 pts), Tarik Biberovic (10 pts), and Devon Hall (10 pts) also contributed double digits.

In the meantime, Fenerbahce also recorded a domestic league win against Buyukcekmece (91–87), which helps their confidence heading into this matchup in Munich.

Although they will not play in their home arena, Fenerbahce will enjoy strong fan support since a large Turkish community resides in Germany.

Maccabi Tel Aviv Form & Team News

The Israeli powerhouse continues to struggle to convert solid performances into wins. Despite showing good basketball in recent weeks, their 2-7 record feels undeserved, as they could easily have a few more victories.

In their last game, they suffered another painful loss. This time to Monaco in overtime (112–107). Once again, Maccabi let a game slip away in the closing moments.

Mike James was unstoppable, delivering one of his best performances of the season with 34 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists. Daniel Theis added 17 points and 9 boards, while Elie Okobo scored 16 points with 7 assists.

For Maccabi, Lonnie Walker led the way with 19 points but had a poor shooting night (6-for-19 from the field).

T.J. Leaf played arguably his best game since joining the club, scoring 18 points and showing flashes of his NBA experience. Jaylen Hoard also impressed with a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Once again, Maccabi’s impatience and poor decision-making in crunch time proved costly. Head coach Oded Katash will need to address this moving forward.

The Israeli team recently strengthened its backcourt by signing Iffe Lundberg, the former CSKA, Virtus Bologna, and Partizan guard. He will not debut against Fenerbahce but could make his first appearance on Thursday against Baskonia.

Head to Head

Last season, Fenerbahce hosted Maccabi in Kaunas  and narrowly won 84–82. Devon Hall stood out with 16 points and 9 assists.

Verdict

Fenerbahce’s play has been far from convincing so far this season. Several new players such as Talen Horton-Tucker, Brandon Boston, and Armando Bacot are still trying to adapt to coach Jasikevicius’s system and haven’t lived up to expectations.

They will face a tough challenge keeping pace offensively with Maccabi, whose attack looks fluid and well-structured. Fener will need to respond effectively to their fast-paced style, but that seems unlikely at the moment.

Maccabi appears underrated in this matchup, and they have a solid chance to at least cover the given spread.
