The Chiefs have the chance to erase the heartbreak of last season and go one step further this time round, with the side installed as the favourites at $1.80. 

This comes despite their stunning 20-19 loss to the Blues in the quarter-finals. They were then able to bounce back with a commanding 37-17 win over the Brumbies in the semi-finals as they made the most out of their second chance. 

The Crusaders - who shockingly missed the finals in 2024 - are currently priced at $2.00 to erase the memory of their huge failure last year. They find themselves in the final after a perfect run across the knockout stages. 

They beat the Reds 32-12 in the quarter-finals before the eliminating the Blues in a 21-14 triumph. 

The Grand Final will see top side Chiefs take on second placed Crusaders. While there have been a number of standout sides this term, technically this is the right final. Of course, it is also worth bearing in mind that the Chiefs were given a second after losing in the quarter-finals, with many feeling this should have been the end of the line for the minor season champions. 

The Chiefs may be the favourites to secure the glory this season, but their defeat in the quarter-finals shows any side can beat any other team. The Crusaders have been excellent all season, and they have been fuelled by their failure last season.
