Group One winners Gytrash and Eduardo have worked well at the Warwick Farm trials on August 17 with the latter taking out the third heat of the morning.
Trailing Nictock early in the piece, the eight-year-old moved up effortlessly to the leader late under jockey Robbie Dolan, holding a narrow margin in the run to the line.
Coming off just a short autumn campaign following surgery to remove a bone chip from a knee, Gytrash caught the eye late when finishing off well for third, although was well held by the early leaders.
The 2020 Black Caviar Lightning Stakes winner is one of Australia's most consistent sprinters, having only finished outside the top three twice in 24 starts and has accrued more than $3.2 million in prize money to date.
Eduardo and Gytrash are both expected to resume in The Shorts, an 1100m Group Two run at Royal Randwick on Saturday, September 18.
