Australian jockey Zac Lloyd has added a Royal Ascot victory to his growing list of achievements, steering Moonfall to victory in Thursday's Britannia Stakes. The win was Lloyd's first at the famous meeting and his fourth winner in Britain since arriving earlier this month.
The 22-year-old travelled to England for a month-long riding stint, taking the opportunity to gain valuable experience in one of the world's most competitive racing jurisdictions. The trip has also allowed Lloyd to build relationships with leading British trainers ahead of future international opportunities.

Lloyd made an immediate impression after touching down in the UK. On June 6, he rode his first British winner aboard Any Which Way before completing a double later on the Doncaster card with Arctic Dawn. A third success followed at York on June 13 when he partnered Thunder Call to victory.

Already firmly established among Australia's leading young riders, Lloyd enjoyed another outstanding Sydney Autumn Carnival in 2026. He rode two Group 1 winners during the carnival, including the biggest victory of his career aboard Guest House in the $5 million Golden Slipper.

Racing success runs in the family. Lloyd is the son of former champion jockey Jeff Lloyd, whose decorated career yielded more than 5,500 winners across South Africa, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia.

Now, with a Golden Slipper and a Royal Ascot winner to his name at just 22 years of age, Zac Lloyd continues to build an impressive international résumé and further strengthen his reputation as one of Australia's brightest riding talents.
