Ellis ($1.80), Harry Garside ($3.25) and Aesha Scott ($4.00) are the only three left in the betting after another round of eliminations. Ellis has been installed as the favourite after previous major favourite to win Peter Helliar was the seventh person to be eliminated in a shock result that shows that anything can happen as the series edges towards its conclusion.

The new series premiered on April 2, 2023 with hosts Julia Morris and Chris Brown. The series returned to Africa for the first time since 2020 after being filmed in Australia due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The series has always been such a big hit for a number of reasons. Many enjoy getting to see celebrities in a more relaxed setting, with the stars able to really show who they are.

However, the majority of viewers simply enjoy watching the stomach-turning tasks and challenges that the contestants are forced to do throughout their time in the jungle to win stars for camp, with these stars translated into meals for the camp.

The competition this year sees some big names participating, with former-AFL star Adam Cooney joined by lightweight boxer Harry Garside, Geordie Shore star Nathan Henry, former netball player Liz Ellis and television presenter Bianca Hunt.

However, with so many big names being a part of the reality series this year, it means some massive names have already left. Kerri-Anne Kennerley left the show on April 6, while Anna Polyviou was the first to be eliminated on April 16, with Bianca Hunt, Ian Dickson and Nick Cummins all following.

Next to be eliminated were Home and Away actress Debra Lawrance and then Married at First Sight star Domenica Calarco. with Peter Helliar and Woody Whitelaw the seventh and eight to be eliminated with the series now edging towards its climax with just a handful of contestants left. There was then a double elimination on April 27, with Adam Cooney and Nathan Henry the ninth and 10th to go respectively.
