Zheng has become a superstar in China following her sensational run to Olympic gold earlier in the season and she is now aiming to go all the way at the WTA 1000 tournament in front of her home fans.

This will be a rematch of their recent US Open first round blockbuster, where Zheng prevailed by a 4-6 6-4 6-2 score.

It's been a phenomenal season for Zheng, who has cemented herself at No. 7 in the latest WTA rankings and pushing towards the top five.
Zheng began the year with a bang by reaching her first major final at the Australian Open, but it was the Paris Olympics where the Chinese star produced her defining moment, beating Iga Swiatek on her way to the gold medal.
The 21-year-old had also won the Palermo title a week earlier, meaning she comes into this encounter having won 18 of her last 20 matches.
Only eventual champion Aryna Sabalenka could stop Zheng in the US Open quarter-finals - just as she did in the Australian Open final. If the pair keep winning in Beijing, they would meet again in the semi-finals.
Amanda Anisimova Form
It had been a rough few years on tour for Anisimova for a variety of reasons, but the American has regrouped and now targeting a return to the top of women's tennis.
Anisimova has climbed back up to No. 43 in the rankings, mostly due to her terrific run to the Toronto final just before the US Open, beating the likes of Sabalenka and Emma Navarro along the way.
The 23-year-old had the misfortune of drawing Zheng in the opening round of the US Open and was forced to retire in Seoul to launch the Asian swing, but Anisimova has looked strong so far in Beijing, defeating Camila Osorio in three sets before taking out Daria Kasatkina in straights.

Verdict
Zheng has arguably been the second-best player in the world since just before the Olympics, winning 18 of her last 20 matches - including toppling Anisimova in the first round of the US Open.
That match went the distance and I think Ansimova can make this clash in Beijing competitive too. However, Zheng is just playing too well to oppose, so will back the Chinese to continue her red-hot form into the quarter-finals.
