Aryna Sabalenka Form
Sabalenka has won 44 of her 55 matches this season and is gunning for her second Grand Slam title of the season after defending her Australian Open crown in January.
The World No. 2 is currently on a 10-match winning streak after she blitzed the field to claim the Cincinnati silverware just prior to the US Open, beating Iga Swiatek and Jessica Pegula along the way.
Sabalenka has dropped just one set on her way to a fourth consecutive US Open semi-final and that came in an early morning third round clash against Ekaterina Alexandrova.
The 26-year-old eased past Priscilla Hon and Lucia Bronzetti in the first couple of rounds and also took care of former doubles partner Elise Mertens in straights in the R16.
A rematch of the Australian Open final took place in the quarter-finals, with Sabalenka absolutely demolishing Olympic gold medalist Qinwen Zheng 6-1 6-2 in just 73 minutes.
Emma Navarro Form
Navarro has registered a 46-19 record at tour-level in 2024, claiming her maiden WTA title at the start of the season at Hobart.
The American has gone from strength to strength throughout the season and her remarkable consistency will see her rewarded with a place in the top 10 after this tournament.
The 23-year-old has made eight WTA semi-finals in the last 15 months, but she's only been able to win one of them, so she will have to overcome that particular hurdle here.
Navarro eased past Arantxa Rus and Anna Blinkova in her first two rounds before taking out Marta Kostyuk and defending champion Coco Gauff in three sets. Navarro then proceeded to defeat the in-form Paula Badosa in the quarter-finals, coming back from 1-5 down in the second set to emerge a 6-2 7-5 winner.

Verdict
Sabalenka is on a different level and if she maintains her current form, she should have too much firepower.
Navarro is one hell of a competitor and she's had a fantastic season/tournament, but when push comes to shove on the biggest stages, I'm not sure she can hang with the World No. 2.
