Thanasi Kokkinakis arrives after battling in a thrilling win in five-sets against Stan Wawrinka to see the Aussie extend his hopes of winning a first Grand Slam.

Khachanov was forced to really work in his opening match of the French Open as he beat Constant Lestienne 3-6 1-6 6-2 6-1 6-3 in what was a real scare for Khachanov.

However, Khachanov was then excellent in the last round at the French as he ousted Albot in good time. Only dropping a total of nine games across the three sets was the perfect tonic following the first round.

The 27-year-old has the better of the head to head record between the pair after notching a battling 7-5 6-4 win over his opponent in Monte-Carlo back in 2018, and he will b confident heading into this one.

Thanasi Kokkinakis Form

Kokkinakis was in fighting mood in the last round as he dispensed of veteran Wawrinka in an impressive win in five-sets.

Victory will have taken a toll on his body, although the 27-year-old only saw three sets played in his win over Dan Evans in the first round, meaning he should still arrive for this one relatively fresh.

Kokkinakis arrives as the real underdog in this one, but this may play into his hands. He was not the favourite against Wawrinka, and we all know how that ended. Perhaps this fascinating third round clash at the French Open is set up perfectly for the Aussie to stun his opponent.

While I do predict that Kokkinakis will win a set in this one, I believe he will fall in the third round against an opponent that has serious aspirations of winning the whole tournament.
