The 2024 Men's French Open will see Novak Djokovic looking to defend his crown as the rest of the field battles to ensure the most prolific Grand Slam winner in men's tennis does not secure another title.

Despite being the reigning champion, Djokovic does not arrive as the favourite. Bookmaker bet365 price him at $3.25 to defend his crown, with Carlos Alcaraz the favourite at $2.50.

2024 Men's French Open Winner
Carlos Alcaraz $2.50
Novak Djokovic$3.25
Rafael Nadal$5.00
Jannik Sinner$5.50
Holger Rune$9.00
Daniil Medvedev$12.00
Casper Ruud$13.00
Stefanos Tsitsipas$17.00
Alexander Zverev$26.00
Rest of the field$41.00+

Carlos Alcaraz is currently the favourite to snare the French Open trophy in 2024. Alcaraz is currently $2.50 to get the better of Djokovic and co after falling to the Serb in the 2023 semi-final.

Djokovic, who is $3.25 to defend his crown in 2024, downed Alcaraz in a 6-3 5-7 6-1 6-1 win that saw Alcaraz's French Open dream dashed. While Alcaraz impressed throughout the tournament, he was consummately beaten in the last-four as the Serb put on a clinic.

Outside of the two favourites, you can back Rafael Nadal at $5.00, Jannik Sinner at $5.50 and Holger Rune at $9.00, with the trio the only other players under $10.00 right now.

The interesting omission in 2023 saw Rafael Nadal miss the tournament through injury. The Spaniard was the reigning champion going into 2023, but he could not defend his crown. Nadal was looking to snare his 15th Slam in France, with the Spaniard winning 14 titles at Roland Garros between 2005-2022.

However, with Nadal out of the picture, Djokovic romped to another title, his 23rd. Next term, Djokovic may be looking to edge even closer to an unprecedented 30 Slams depending on how the rest of this year goes.

With two of the greatest tennis players ever looking to swell their Grand Slam totals, the French Open could provide another fiery contest between the two.

That is not to say that no other player will have their say. Alcaraz is clearly fancied by the bookies, while Rune, Sinner and Medvedev are all in decent form. Perhaps this one is not a clear two-horse race, but most will feel that Nadal and Djokovic are destined to meet in the final if they stay injury free and are placed on opposite sides of the draw.
