Carlos Alcaraz vs Cameron Norrie Tips, Prediction & Live Stream - Alcaraz launches Paris Masters title bid
Carlos Alcaraz begins his Paris Masters campaign with a second-round clash against Cameron Norrie. Historically, the Paris Masters has not been Alcaraz's strongest performance venue, but the current slower court conditions and his fresh form after a break provide him an edge. Alcaraz, leading 5-2 in head-to-head encounters with Norrie, aims to extend his dominant season, boasting a 67-7 record and recent title wins. While Norrie's strategy could pose challenges, Alcaraz is favored to progress further.

It's safe to say Alcaraz has never produced his best tennis at the Paris Masters - he's got a 5-4 record at the tournament and his only top 25 win incredibly came against a No. 9 ranked Jannik Sinner in the pair's first ever tour-level meeting back in 2021. Alcaraz is usually fatigued at this stage of the year and the usual faster court speed indoors doesn't help his cause, but both of those factors are different in 2025. The Spaniard is fresh having took three weeks off following his Tokyo title, while the court speed at the new Paris Masters La Defense Arena is considerably slower. Advantage Alcaraz this week?
He's got a somewhat tricky opener. Norrie is an unorthodox player and the Brit has enjoyed success against Alcaraz before, beating him two times in seven meetings. Obviously Alcaraz is the huge favourite and almost certainly prevails, but Norrie's court craft and ability to put the Spaniard in uncomfortable positions means he can extend this match Over 18.5 total games.
Head To Head
Alcaraz leads 5-2. The pair have only faced off once since 2023, with Alcaraz coming away with a comfortable 6-2 6-3 6-3 victory in the Wimbledon quarter-finals earlier this season.
Carlos Alcaraz Form
Alcaraz heads into this clash with a tour-leading 67-7 record on the season, dethroning rival Jannik Sinner for the World No. 1 ranking.
It's been an incredible year for Alcaraz - he's reached a stunning nine consecutive finals from Monte Carlo through to Tokyo, adding two more Grand Slams to his collection at Roland Garros and the US Open.
The Spaniard has usually slowed down at this stage of the season in the past, but Alcaraz backed up his US Open triumph by surging to the Tokyo title despite a niggling ankle injury, defeating Taylor Fritz in the final.
Alcaraz made the intelligent decision to withdraw from Shanghai in order to fully recover from that ankle problem and arrives in Paris fresh and ready for a first really deep run at this tournament.
Cameron Norrie Form
Norrie has put together a 29-24 record on the season, improving his ranking from outside the top 90 in April to a current mark of No. 31.
The former World No. 8 turned his season around midway through the year, reaching the Geneva semi-finals from qualifying before advancing to the fourth round of the French Open.
Norrie continued his resurgence by advancing to the Wimbledon quarter-finals and also enjoyed a solid third round finish at the US Open.
The 30-year-old hasn't been able to win back-to-back matches since departing New York, but got his Paris Masters campaign off to the best possible start, easing past the out-of-form Sebastian Baez 6-3 6-4 in his opening round.

Verdict
The slower conditions in Paris mean Alcaraz should be primed for his best run at this tournament.
Norrie is a tricky opponent, but a fit Alcaraz shouldn't have too many problems. I'm not predicting a beatdown, but Alcaraz almost certainly advances to the third round.
