Andrey Rublev vs Damir Dzumhur Tips, Prediction & Live Stream - Rublev targets sixth straight win over Dzumbur in Hamburg opener

It's been a terrible last couple of months for Rublev - it appeared as if he was turning a corner after putting together a brilliant run to win the Doha title in February. However, Rublev has only won two completed matches since, resulting in him tumbling out of the top 10 and forcing him to play the week before a slam in a bid to get more matches and confidence under his belt.

Fortunately for Rublev, he's received a relatively kind opening round draw for an ATP 500 tournament. Dzumhur has done a good job in returning to the top 100, but his career-high ranking of No. 23 was achieved back in 2018 and he hasn't really made much of an impact in recent times - indeed, he's lost his last seven straight matches against top 20 players dating back to 2019. Rublev's last two wins over Dzumhur were in straight sets and I'd expect a similar outcome in Hamburg.

Rublev leads 5-0, winning their most-recent meeting on clay 7-5 6-3 in Banja Luka in 2023.

Rublev comes into this contest with a relatively poor 11-10 record on the season, with almost half of those victories coming in Doha when he won the title.

The Russian defeated the likes of top 10 stars Alex de Minaur and Jack Draper on his way to the silverware that week, but it's been downhill ever since.

Expected to push on and get back to his best form, Rublev has instead gone 2-7 in completed matches, failing to win two matches in a row at any of the four clay events he's entered this swing.

Rublev lost his opening match of the Rome Masters in three sets to Fabian Marozsan and was bundled out of Madrid the previous tournament by Alexander Bublik.

Returning to Hamburg with a 11-4 tournament record, Rublev will be hoping to add to the title he won back in 2020.

Dzumhur heads into this showdown with a stronger tour-level record than Rublev this season, going 11-8.

The Bosnian has also competed at Challenger level in an effort to rebuild his ranking, which he's improved from No. 97 in mid-February to a current mark of No. 69.

Dzumhur's best result at ATP level came on the clay of Bucharest, where he made the semi-finals before going down to eventual champion Flavio Cobolli.

The 32-year-old made the third round of the Madrid Masters, but was knocked out in the opening round of Rome by qualifier Vilius Gaubus before a second round elimination at the Bordeaux Challenger last week.

Dzumhur has a 0-2 record in the main draw of Hamburg.
