Brownlow Medal Update - Patrick is the 'Danger' to Fyfe
Justin Darcy has assessed the Brownlow Medal landscape as we enter the final round of the home and away season.
Patrick Dangerfied is making a late charge at the Brownlow medal
We are into the last week of the home and away rounds and the Brownlow could boil down to this last weekend of footy.
Brownlow favourite Nat Fyfe was only even having 26-disposals and goal in their loss to the Dons. This effort is unlikely to see him poll a vote where Zach Merrett and Michael Walters are likely to have caught the umpire's eye.
Lachie Neale was one of the most lethal players on the ground in Brisbane’s one-point win over Geelong. He gathered 29 disposals and kicked one of the classiest goals of the season. He is likely to pick up a vote here, most likely just the one.
Patrick Dangerfield is also a chance for Brownlow votes in this game after a monster 36-disposals and a goal. He is making a late charge at this Brownlow and could possibly be taking out his second ‘Charlie’.
The news isn't as good for one-time favourite Tim Kelly, who had a limited impact on the match for the Cats.
Patrick Cripps was not the best player on the ground in their thriller win over the Saints, but he had 22 quality touches that will likely see him in the votes.
He probably is not the winner this year being that his side has not won enough games, but he should finish in the top five or six players which is a fantastic effort from man his age.

This week I will be staying away from the betting, and riding our best we have taken over the last 4 or five weeks. My tip would be to have another small play on Patrick Dangerfield at $3.25 but the value was snapped up after last week’s tip.
