After reaching the R16 at the most recent World Cup, Graham Arnold's side will want to make a statement in qualifying as they continue to build towards 2026 in North America.

Bahrain finished in second spot in their second round of World Cup qualifying behind the United Arab Emirates, winning three of their six games.

Dragon Talajic's side will be up against it to advance from this group after being drawn against Australia, Japan, Saudi Arabia, China and Indonesia.

Bahrain come into this contest on the back of a four-game unbeaten run, beating Nepal twice and drawing with Yeman and the UAE.
