France Women were involved in an entertaining 6-3 win over Panama in their final group game that saw them stay unbeaten at the World Cup.

France Women have been good at the 2023 World Cup, but they know there is room for improvement after their performances across the group stage.

A toothless showing up-front against Jamaica ended in a 0-0 draw, while they then battled to a 2-1 win over Brazil. They then put six goals past Panama in a 6-3 win, but their defensive frailties were highlighted as they conceded three goals against a side that were yet to score at the tournament.

Morocco have not been great going forward at the tournament as they have only scored twice. The focus for France will be on doing the simple things well. Their brilliant attack needs to be backed up by a strong defensive effort as they look to build towards an extended run at the competition.

Morocco Women Form

Morocco Women have been able to bounce back from a mauling at the hands of Germany in their first game as they were humbled 6-0 by Germany.

They have since secured two 1-0 wins over South Korea and Morocco to clinch their place in the knockout stages at the expense of the Germans.

With two 1-0 wins in their last two against South Korea and Colombia, Morocco look strong at the back. The major worry for them is that if they get into a battle to score more goals than France, then they will struggle. If they can't keep France scoreless, then I predict they will get knocked out in the Round of 16.
