Spain were exceptional in their opening match at Euro 2024 as they hammered Croatia 3-0 to get off to a winning start.

Spain have won six of their last 10 against Italy, with the Italians winning twice and the other two games ending as draws.

Spain secured a resounding 3-0 win over Croatia in their opening match despite seeing their opponents shade the possession and shooting stats.

Three goals between the 29th and 47th minutes proved enough for the Spanish in a performance that proved they are very much in the conversation when it comes to winning Euro 2024. While Croatia are not an easy side to beat, the level of opposition only increases heading into this match.

While Spain will not likely enjoy as comfortable a win in this one, I predict that Alvaro Morata will get on the scoresheet once again as he leads a young Spanish team to another impressive win.

Italy Form

Italy may have won their opening match at Euro 2024, but they were hardly convincing against an opponent they should have beaten by more.

A defensive error almost cost them as they conceded in the first minute, and while they did score two goals to secure a 2-1 win, they looked toothless at times. This will worry them heading into a match against a Spanish side that looked largely untroubled against Croatia in game one.

Italy's defence is not one that instils much confidence when it comes to keeping a clean sheet at the tournament, and I am backing them to slip to defeat in this one.
