Fiorentina battled past Club Brugge in a 4-3 aggregate win in the last round of the competition to edge to within a single victory of a major European trophy.

Olympiacos have been in good form in the Europa Conference League, with the side deservedly taking their place in the Conference League Final this week.

Few will need convincing of the threat they pose after they consummately disposed of Aston Villa in the last round. As if winning 4-2 at Villa Park was not enough, Olympiacos then kept a clean sheet in a 2-0 win at home to flex their scoring and defensive muscles.

While I predict that Olympiacos will give their opponents a lot of issues in this match, I am backing against them this week. Fiorentina have not lost any of their last 13 European matches, and they will prove incredibly tough to beat.

Fiorentina could make it a double of Italian winners in Europa competitions after Atalanta stunned Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 in the Europa League final last week.

Fiorentina may not have blown Club Brugge away in the same way as Olympiacos managed against Villa, but it was another show of control and composure in a match that could have gotten away from them.

While there will be nerves heading into this one, Fiorentina are the favourites, and I am backing them to secure the silverware despite failing to keep a clean sheet.
