Celtic claimed a rare Champions League victory last week against Slovan Bratislava, but they have struggled considerably on the road in this competition for a long time and this is a massive step up in class for the Scottish champions.

Dortmund have won the last three meetings between the teams, but their last clash came back in 1992 in the Europa League.

It's been a solid start to the season for Dortmund, who have gone unbeaten in six of their seven games in all competitions.
However, that one defeat was a big one, suffering a crushing 5-1 loss at the hands of Stuttgart. To their credit, Dortmund bounce back from that result to defeat Bochum 4-2 in their last outing.
It was a successful start to the revamped Champions League for Dortmund, with last season's finalists coming away with a 3-0 victory on the road at Club Brugge, with English winger Jamie Gittens coming off the bench to score a brace.
Celtic Form
Unsurprisingly, Celtic are absolutely flying at the top of the Scottish Premier League, winning all six games, scoring 20 goals and conceding zero.
It's literally been the perfect start and that includes a thumping 3-0 victory over Old Firm rivals Rangers in the derby.
Additionally, Celtic also secured a Champions League win, crushing Slovan Bratislava 5-1 at home - although it must be said that it was probably the best opponent imaginable for this competition.
Backing that triumph up on the road at Dortmund will take a monumental effort for the Bhoys - Celtic have never won away to German opposition and lost nine of their last 11 away games in Europe.
Verdict
Celtic are having a great start to the season, but obviously translating their domestic and home form away in Europe has traditionally been a different kettle of fish.
Dortmund are always stronger at home and have immense firepower up front to do damage here. Backing the hosts with Over 2.5 goals as our best bet.
