After finishing third in Ligue 1 last season, Brest have earned the right to compete in the Champions League for the first time.
However, it hasn't been an ideal start to the domestic season. Brest have won just one game - a dominant 4-0 triumph over lowly St. Etienne.
Brest have lost their three other games 5-1 to Marseille, 2-0 against Lens and 3-1 to PSG. Tough fixtures for sure, but Brest won't want to taste defeat again after the success of last term.
Sturm Graz Form
By contrast, Sturm Graz have been on fire domestically lately, coming into this encounter having won their last five games in all competitions, scoring 10 goals in the process.
Sturm Graz pipped the likes of RB Salzburg and LASK to win the Austrian Bundesliga last season and they are top of the table after five games this term.
However, the Austrian champions have never won a game in France in their history and were knocked out of the Conference League by Lille last season.
Verdict
Brest haven't been firing to begin the season, but this is a good opportunity to start building momentum against a Sturm Graz side who have never won in France before.
