Euro 2024 will be played in Germany across June and July, with the biggest international competition in European football almost upon us.

With the tournament promising to showcase the best attackers and defenders that Europe has to offer, bet365 have made France's Kylian Mbappe the favourite to outscore every other player at $5.50, but is he alone at the head of the betting?

Kylian Mbappe arrives for the upcoming Euros as the favourite to top score at $5.50. He is just ahead of England's Harry Kane ($6.50), with Cristiano Ronaldo ($13.00) and Romelu Lukaku ($15.00) also in the running.

Germany's Kai Havertz and England's Jude Bellingham are also battling to score the most goals, with Antoine Griezmann and Phil Foden likely to see their fair share of goals too.

While there are a number of viable options when it comes to the top goal scorer this summer, the bookies clearly make Mbappe and Kane the ones to back before a ball is kicked.

With France and England both fancied to go deep at the tournament this summer, the duo should have plenty of chances to score.

For bettors, it is very important to work out whether you believe a player will score a lot of goals over a short space of time or if you should back a player that will make it to the latter-stages of the competition.

For example, you may fancy Romelu Lukaku to go well against Slovakia, Romania and Ukraine in Group E. If he brings his shooting boots and scores well in the group before Belgium are eliminated in the Round of 16. In this scenario, you would need to predict whether this would still be enough to see him top score over another player that goes all the way to the final.

Usually, a player that goes the distance will win the award, but anything can happen in a major competition, especially if a player or side struggles to establish themselves.

Which player do you think will top the scoring charts at Euro 2024?
