Manchester United vs Chelsea Tips
Manchester United have endured a torrid week, with the side drawing 3-3 with Galatasaray in midweek before falling to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Newcastle.

Chelsea held on to secure a stunning 3-2 win over Brighton as the Blues finally ended their winless run at home in the league.
- United have lost four of their last 10 (W6) (Premier League)
- The home side have lost three times at Old Trafford (W4) (Premier League)
- Chelsea have only lost twice on the road (W3, D1) (Premier League)
- The Blues have seen both teams score in six of their last seven games (Premier League)
Head To Head
The two sides have been tough to separate in recent years, with five of their last six matches ending in draws. United did run out 4-1 winners when the pair last met at Old Trafford back in May.
Manchester United Form
Manchester United were incredibly disappointing in their last outing as they fell to a limp 1-0 defeat at the hands of Newcastle.
United hit the target with just one effort against the Magpies, while they saw just 41% of the ball. Following a pulsating draw with Galatasaray in the Champions League last week, United were looking for a big performance, but they played like a side that was completely out of ideas.
Now, United have to find a way to start winning matches, or the pressure will continue to build. While they only find themselves nine points short of Arsenal at the summit, another defeat coupled with wins for the likes of the Gunners, Liverpool and Manchester City will further squash United's slim title hopes.
Despite sitting 14 points short of Arsenal at the summit, Chelsea are showing some real signs of life in the league of late.
A 4-1 win over Tottenham was followed by a 4-4 draw with Manchester City at Stamford Bridge. The Blues were then able to bounce back from a disappointing 4-1 loss to Newcastle by defeating Brighton 3-2 at home, with this only their second win in eight home games.
While the Blues have been poor at home, they have been fairly good on the road, winning three of their six matches. With the chance to pile the pressure on United and move to within two points of their opponents on the ladder, the Blues will be confident they can secure a result in this one.
I am backing both sides to score in this one as Chelsea run out winners as their mini-revival continues.
