Ruud Van Nistelrooy will take charge of Leicester for the first time following the sacking of Steve Cooper, while West Ham are looking for an immediate response following their crazy 5-2 defeat to Arsenal this past weekend.

Head To Head

Leicester won both meetings during the 2022/23 Premier League season, including a 2-1 victory at home.

Leicester Form

It's been a tough start to life back in the top flight for Leicester, who following a run of five defeats from six games, decided to sack manager Steve Cooper.

Ruud Van Nistelrooy has stepped into the hot seat after signing a three-year contract on Friday, meaning the Dutchman hasn't had much time to prepare his new team.

The sacking of Cooper didn't change anything in the short-term, with Leicester suffering a crushing 4-1 defeat away to Brentford after initially taking the lead through Facundo Buananotte.

One positive for Leicester is that they're one of just five teams to have scored in all of their home games so far in the league this season.

West Ham Form

The Hammers haven't fared much better so far this campaign and you could argue manager Julen Lopetegui can count himself lucky to still be in a job.

West Ham have managed just four wins from their 13 EPL games to find themselves languishing in 14th position on the ladder, just six points above the drop zone.

After an impressive 2-0 victory away to Newcastle, West Ham crashed back down to earth in dramatic fashion, losing 5-2 against Arsenal this past weekend, with all seven goals coming in the opening half.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Emerson gave West Ham fans a glimmer of hope after the duo scored two quick goals to get the score back to 4-2, but Bukayo Saka's penalty on the stroke of half-time sealed the deal for the Gunners.

Verdict

Tough to pick a winner here, with both teams struggling for form and conceding a lot of goals lately.

Both teams to score is our best bet here - it's landed in eight of the last 10 meetings and both teams have a fragile defence, while Leicester have scored in all of their home games this term.
