Leeds vs Liverpool Tips
Liverpool will look to keep pace with the early leaders in the English Premier League when they travel to Elland Road to take on Leeds United. This fourth-round match of the season will be played in the early hours of Monday morning Australian time.
Leeds are prone to conceding goals but have shown a tendency to pick up points at home against top sides. Liverpool haven’t yet hit their stride and I am backing Leeds on the double market here. Patrick Bamford has been Leeds’ best bet and my pick to get on the scoresheet.

Head to Head
The sides have met 119 times so far in all competitions. Liverpool have been the dominating side with 60 wins and 28 losses with the remaining 31 matches ending as draws.
Last season saw Liverpool win 4-3 at home with a Mohamed Salah hat-trick driving them home. Patrick Bamford scored one of the goals for Leeds.
The return fixture saw Leeds hold Liverpool to a 1-1 draw at this venue. Sadio Mane and Diego Llorente scored for Liverpool and Leeds respectively.
Leeds started the season with a disastrous 5-1 drubbing at the hands of Manchester United.
The Whites then recovered to pick up a point in another entertaining 2-2 draw at home to Everton. Both the goals came after conceding the lead to Everton.
Leeds went into the international break with a 1-1 draw at Burnley as a late Patrick Bamford goal saved them the blushes.
Leeds Team News
Mateusz Klich and Junior Firpo are doubtful having tested positive for COVID-19 before the break. Raphinha’s absence due to the Brazilian FA ban could mean a game for new signing Dan James.
Liverpool started the season positively, with two back-to-back wins keeping a clean sheet. They won 3-0 at Norwich on the opening weekend with goals for Diogo Jota, Firmino, and Mohamed Salah.
Jota was once again on the scoring sheet as Liverpool defeated Burnley 2-0 at home. Sadio Mane was the other scorer.
Liverpool were held by a 10-man Chelsea to a 1-1 draw in the last match before the break. Mohamed Salah’s goal proving to be Liverpool’s saviour.
Liverpool Team News
Harvey Elliott has withdrawn from England U21 duties and there are question marks over his participation. Alisson, Fabinho, and Firmino are likely to be out after the Brazilian FA ban.

What time does Leeds vs Liverpool kick off?
This Premier League match is being played at the Elland Road at 1:30am AEDT on Monday, September 13.
Liverpool will be keen to stay close to the top-four chasing teams but Leeds will hope to upset their calculations. The hosts have shown last season that they can be a tough side to break for the top-four teams.
I am backing Leeds on the double market simply because they like these big games. Bamford’s recent scoring form makes him a good bet, especially with Alisson missing for Liverpool.
