Burnley fell to their second defeat in as many Premier League games last time out as they were beaten 3-2 by Aston Villa in a pulsating match.

Luton Town were also beaten 3-2 in their last outing as they failed to make the most out of a late collapse from Chelsea.

Burnley continue to struggle in the Premier League, with their poor performances seeing safety remain out of their reach for now.

Their 3-2 loss to Aston Villa may have been an improved performance as they pushed the side sitting in second all the way. However, it was a loss nonetheless, with this their second in a row and fourth in their last six.

Their clash with a Luton side that sit a place above them on the ladder is a huge chance to pick up a much-needed win. However, with one victory in 10 home games and Luton playing well at the moment, I am actually backing against the home side in this one.

Luton Town may still sit in the relegation zone, but their last handful of performances have been able to showcase all of their fighting spirit.

A 3-2 loss to Chelsea could have been very different as they gave their opponents a real scare. Positively for Luton, while they did battle to a draw with Bolton in the FA Cup, this made it two wins, one draw and one defeat in their last four in what has been a solid run.

While Luton are far from perfect, their impressive current run is enough to convince me that they have the beating of their hosts.

Verdict

I am backing this match to see less than 3.5 goals as Luton come away with all three points in a match that could go a long way in deciding which sides go down this season.
