If the 2023/24 Bundesliga season is anything like last year, then the competition will not disappoint, with the top league in Germany throwing up so many stunning thrills and spills.

After an incredibly exciting start to the season, Bayern sit at $5.50 with Unibet to defend their title, but they are not currently the favourites at this stage of the season.

Bayer Leverkusen$1.14
Bayern Munich $5.50
Vfb Stuttgart$1001.00
RB Leipzig$1501.00
Borussia Dortmund$1501.00
Eintracht Frankfurt$4501.00
Rest of the field$4501.00+

Bayer Leverkusen currently lead the way in the betting at $1.14 after humiliating Bayern Munich ($5.50) in a crushing 3-0 win. Since then, Bayern have slipped to a shock 3-2 loss to Bochum along with an unconvincing 2-1 win over RB Leipzig.

Vfb Stuttgart are next in line at $1001.00, with RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund both available at $1501.00. Clearly, the bookies make this a two-horse race at this stage.

Despite adding Harry Kane, who has notched 27 goals in his debut season, Bayern have a real fight on their hands this season as they look to defend their crown, and they will have to be better in the coming weeks if they are to ensure that Leverkusen do not get too far ahead of them.

Last year, Bayern won the trophy by the skin of their teeth ahead of Borussia Dortmund. After 34 matches and 175 goals scored between the pair, Bayern secured the trophy as they won on the final day while Dortmund could only draw their game.

This set of results saw Bayern clinch the title on goal difference, with Dortmund left to rue what might have been after arriving for the game ahead of their old rivals.

This season, Bayern will want to ensure that any title victory is a lot more comfortable, or that they can at least keep things in their own hands heading into the final weekend rather than needing a helping hand from somewhere else.

Which side do you think will triumph in the latest iteration of the Bundesliga? Can Bayern secure yet another title, or will Leverkusen find a way to end the domination of their rivals?
