Sydney FC and Perth Glory meet in a rematch of the 2019 A-League Grand Final when they clash at Bankwest Stadium in Sydney on Wednesday. Only one can make this year's premiership decider, but who will win through from the semi-final showdown?

Sydney FC Form & Team News

Sydney FC's 3-1 victory over Wellington Phoenix in the first game back in action after the A-League season restarted wrapped up the Premiers Plate. But since then things have taken a turn for the worse with no win in the subsequent five games

The Sky Blues picked up just two points from the last five games of the regular season courtesy of 1-1 draws with Adelaide United and Brisbane Roar. They lost 2-1 to Newcastle Jets, were defeated 2-0 by second-placed Melbourne City and lost their final game 2-1 to Western United.

Coach Steve Corica will have been searching for a solution to the form issues during the last 11 days since losing to Western United. Will the start of their finals campaign bring Sydney FC back to life?

Sydney FC thumped Melbourne Victory 6-1 at this stage last year before going on to defeat Perth Glory on penalties in the Grand Final. While they aren't in anywhere near the same form, could the return to knockout football see the real Sky Blues stand up?

Perth Glory Form & Team News

Perth Glory's finals experience came through when they defeated Wellington Phoenix in the Elimination Final on Saturday. Joel Chianese's early goal was enough for a 1-0 win, which sets up this 2019 Grand Final rematch.

Glory had ended the regular season in sixth spot after a disappointing run of form since the season restarted. They lost four of their last five matches, going down to Phoenix, Adelaide United, Melbourne Victory and Western United and defeating Western Sydney Wanderers.

But Tony Popovic's side had done enough to seal a spot in the finals. The Elimination Final victory made it just three wins in their last 11 matches, but despite that form Perth remain in the hunt for the A-League premiership.

Glory suffered Grand Final heartache at the hands of the Sky Blues last year as missed shootout penalties from Andy Keogh and Brendon Santalab saw Sydney FC crowned champions. Can they exact revenge in the semi-finals?

Sydney FC vs Perth Glory Head to Head

Sydney FC and Perth Glory met twice this season with the Sky Blues winning 3-1 before the sides played out a 0-0 draw. It was the same goalless scoreline in last year's Grand Final before Sydney won 4-1 in a penalty shootout. Sydney FC have lost just one of the last 15 head to heads in all competitions, winning 11 of them.

Sydney FC vs Perth Glory Odds

Sydney FC are the $1.90 favourites to win Wednesday's semi-final. Perth Glory are $3.80 outsiders with a draw marginally shorter in the betting at $3.60. In the "to qualify" market, it is $1.50 for the Sky Blues to progress and $2.50 for Glory to win through to the Grand Final.
