Peninsula Power vs Brisbane Roar Tips

Brisbane Roar come into this match as raging favourites and should comfortably defeat Peninsula, despite being in their off-season.

  • Peninsula Power are currently on top of the NPL Queensland ladder.
  • Peninsula Power have been the first team to score in 5 of their last 5 matches.
  • Brisbane Roar won the last friendly against Peninsula Power 7-1.
  • Brisbane Road lost an elimination final to Adelaide United last season.

Head to Head

The two sides connection runs deep with Brisbane Roar’s coach Warren Moon a former Peninsula player and coach.

The two sides face off annually in a friendly in the lead up to the A-League season. In their last encounter Brisbane Roar defeated the Power 7-1.

Peninsula Power Form

Peninsula currently lead the NPL Queensland competition, after finishing in the top three in 2019 and 2020.

The Power are currently only one point on top of the ladder due to only winning one of their last five matches.

The Power have reached the round of 32 in the FFA cup once it’s history. The Power hosted Melbourne City in 2017 and suffered a 2-0 defeat.

Last Saturday, the Power lost to the Gold Coast Knights 3-2. Brenton Fox was the solitary goal kicker for the Power, while a 76th minute Gold Coast own goal put the Power ahead until two late Gold Coast goals put the result beyond doubt.

Two weeks ago, the Power drew with the 14th placed Brisbane Strikers 0-0.

Brisbane Roar Form

The Roar’s last competitive match was on June 13 in the A-League elimination final.

Brisbane lost to Adelaide 2-1 with a Tomi Juric double proving the difference.

Roar finished fourth on the 2020-21 A-League ladder, finishing with 11 wins, seven draws and eight losses from 26 matches.

Despite the Peninsula Power performing well in the NPL Queensland competition, I am tipping the Roar.

For the value bet I am tipping Brisbane to win, there to be over three goals and both teams to score.

Best Bet: Brisbane to win
Value Bet: Bet builder: Brisbane to win, both teams to score and over three goals in the match
