Macarthur kicked off their inaugural season with a historic win away to the Western Sydney Wanderers.
The Bulls were rewarded for their persistence up front when Spanish midfielder Benat Extebarria's set piece deflected off captain Mark Milligan and into the back of the net.
As prolific as Macarthur looked up front in their first game, they had goalkeeper Adam Federici to thank for the three points.
The former Reading custodian made several match-saving blocks to deny the Wanderers and wrap up a historic three points for Macarthur.

Both former Athletic Bilbao midfielders – Extebarria and Markel Susaeta – came off the bench. Given the short turnaround between games, both are in contention to make their first respective starts.

The Mariners put a tumultuous off-season behind them to record a 1-0 win against the Newcastle Jets in the F3 Derby.
The deadlock was broken in the 42nd minute when young striker Alou Kuol pounced on a napping Jets defence from a set piece to head home his debut goal.
While the win will no doubt be a morale booster for the Mariners, their form away from home is still a concern. They have failed to score in three of their last five away matches.
