Macarthur Form
Macarthur got off to a flyer in their inaugural A-League campaign. The Bulls recorded a 1-0 win in their first match against the Western Sydney Wanderers, with captain Mark Milligan scoring.
After winning many admirers the Bulls came into their second match against Central Coast as favourites but failed to get a result.
Macarthur went down 2-0 in their first home against the Mariners, conceding either side of half time.
Spanish import Markel Susaeta made his first start for the club while his ex-Athletic Bilbao teammate Benat Etxebarria came off the bench.
Macarthur Team News
There are no injury concerns facing Macarthur at the moment.
After successive appearances from the bench, this could be the week Etxebarria makes his first start for the club alongside Susaeta.
Wellington Phoenix Form
Wellington come into this match having lost their last three A-League matches.
The Phoenix ended their 2019/20 season with a 3-0 loss to the Newcastle Jets before bundling out the finals following a 1-0 defeat to Perth Glory.
Wellington met reigning champions Sydney FC in their first match of the new campaign last week. The Phoenix went down 2-1 with striker Mirza Muratovic equalising right on half-time, before Sydney restored their lead midway through the second half.
Wellington are now without a win from their last six A-League matches and have also had a poor run in-front of goals. The Phoenix have been held goalless in three of their last five matches.
Phoenix Team News
Phoenix attacking midfielder Reno Piscopo is expected to miss another week due to a calf injury. While Piscopo has returned to full training, the club has opted to take a cautious approach.
Captain Ulises Davila came off the bench last week but is expected to make his first start of the season against Macarthur.
