Brisbane Roar have returned to form and will face a big test when they meet Central Coast. The Roar have a solid record against the Mariners, who have shown they are capable of scoring plenty this season.

Head to Head

Brisbane have a 31-7 advantage in the head-to-head with 15 draws in 53 encounters.

Ex-Socceroo Scott McDonald scored the decisive goal in their last meeting, as Brisbane escaped with a narrow 1-0 win at home.

Central Coast Mariners Form

The Mariners have been forced to share the points quite frequently in recent weeks.

Striker Matt Simon and midfielder Oliver Bozanic scored either side of half-time in the side’s 2-2 draw with Western Sydney away from home.

Central Coast then lost their first game in a month as they went down 1-0 to Western United in Tasmania.

A 2-2 draw followed for the Mariners against reigning champions Sydney FC. After jumping out to a two goal lead, Central Coast failed to hang on as the Sky Blues stormed home to rescue a point.

Central Coast Mariners Team News

Central Coast come into this match with a clean bill of health.

Brisbane Roar Form

Brisbane have done well to turn their season around after a disappointing run of results.

After conceding early against Western Sydney, Japanese import Riku Danzaki’s 49th minute goal saw the Roar escape with a point.

Brisbane then snapped their eight match winless run with a 2-1 win over Macarthur. Striker Dylan Wenzel-Halls got back on the scoresheet, while Danzaki netted the sealer just after half-time.

The Japanese midfielder was on target for a third straight week as Brisbane defeated Western Sydney 2-1 in their second meeting. Defender Josh Brindell-South also netted a rare goal on the night.

Brisbane Roar Team News

Striker Scott McDonald announced his departure from the club after allegedly falling out of favour with head coach Warren Moon.

Brisbane do not have any injuries heading into this match.
