Brisbane Roar and Western United go head to head in the second A-League elimination final at Bankwest Stadium on Sunday. The winner will progress to the semi-finals, while it is the end of the road for the losers. Can the A-League's newcomers Western United keep their dream debut season going?

Brisbane Roar Form & Team News

Brisbane Roar have had two weeks off since concluding the regular season with a 1-1 draw against Premiers Plate winners Sydney FC. Since then, Roar's place in fourth spot on the ladder has remained the same and they now face fifth-placed Western United for a place in the semi-finals.

It was one win (over Melbourne Victory), one defeat (to Adelaide United) and two draws (Wellington Phoenix and Sydney FC) for new Roar coach Warren Moon since the season restarted as Brisbane built on the foundations former boss Robbie Fowler had put in place.

Roar's run to the finals came after winning nine of their 16 fixtures this calendar year and losing just three.

Western United Form & Team News

Western United's busy end to the season saw them play six games in just over three weeks, but Mark Rudan's side earned a place in the finals with a game to spare.

With eyes on the elimination finals, a weakened Western United went down 3-1 to Melbourne City on Wednesday. But the hard work had been done with six wins in the seven games that preceded the midweek loss.

Western United defeated Central Coast Mariners, Adelaide United, Melbourne Victory, Western Sydney Wanderers, Perth Glory and Sydney FC on the run in, losing to Newcastle Jets and then City when the likes of Besart Berisha and Alessandro Diamanti were rested.

Brisbane Roar vs Western United Head to Head
