This will be the first-ever meeting between the two sides.
Brisbane Roar Form
Brisbane have asserted themselves as the team to beat this season. The Roar have won their last four matches and have done so in style.
Brisbane have scored eight goals in their last two home matches. They defeated Adelaide United 3-1 with Dylan Wenzel-Halls scoring a double, before putting five past Melbourne Victory in a 5-2 win.
Wenzel-Halls was on target once again in that win with his fifth goal of the season. Striker Scott McDonald and Japanese import Riku Danzaki also scored respective doubles in the big win.
Roar Team News
First choice goalkeeper Jamie Young made a shock return to the line-up from a knee injury much earlier than expected.
Dylan Wenzel-Halls has been one of the league’s most prolific forwards this season. He has scored five goals in his last four matches.
Macarthur Form
While Macarthur have had a steady few weeks, they perhaps have not been rewarded for their dominance in matches.
The Bulls picked up their second win of the season in a 2-1 victory over Newcastle with French import Loic Puyo and ex-Blackburn striker Matt Derbyshire scoring.
Despite starting well against Sydney FC, a 21st minute red card to Mark Milligan and delays at half-time due to thunderstorms took the wind out of Macarthur's sails. The Bulls went on to lose 3-0 with a man down and momentum swinging Sydney's way in the second half.
Macarthur responded well in their next match against Western Sydney, coming away with a 2-2 draw. Defender Aleksander Jovanovic opened the scoring from a corner before his centre-back partner Aleksander Susnjar scored his first of the season.
Macarthur Team News
Captain Mark Milligan will return after serving his one match ban. It will be interesting to see whether he slots back into the back four or if he is used in midfield.
