In the opening round the Reds were comfortable winners against the Waratahs before losing out narrowly to the Hurricanes. That was followed by a superb 25-19 success against the Chiefs and a thrashing of the Rebels.

Unfortunately, since then the Reds have lost three in a row. They went down away against the Western Force before losing by a point at home to the Brumbies. Last weekend, the Queensland outfit lost 17-14 against Moana.

The Highlanders have been far from poor this season, but like their opponents, results just haven’t fallen their way. Currently the Highlanders are 10th on the table with just two wins from seven.

In the opening three rounds, the Highlanders beat Moana and the Waratahs, and lost narrowly to the Blues. However, they have lost four games on the trot since then.

Last week the Highlanders suffered a 47-31 loss in Melbourne against the Rebels. Prior to that they were hammered 47-12 at home by the Hurricanes.
