Rebels vs Highlanders Tips
The Highlanders are slight favourites ahead of this clash, but the Rebels have looked in decent form in recent weeks. I fancy the Rebels to get the win at home against the odds.

Head to Head
The Highlanders have won two of their last three matches against the Rebels. However, both those victories were at home with the Rebels winning the game at AAMI Park.
Rebels Form
The Rebels are have a decent season after seven rounds. They are fifth on the table with four victories and three defeats.
The Melbourne side began the season with a 30-3 defeat at home to the Brumbies but have improved vastly since then. However, all their victories have come against sides they were largely expected to beat.
After that opening loss, the Rebels beat the Force and Moana, before conceding 50+ points on two successive weekends against the Reds and Hurricanes. The Rebels bounced back, beating the Waratahs 27-21 in Sydney before thrashing Fijian Drua 41-20 at home last weekend.
Rebels Injuries & Team News
The Rebels will want to build on their solid start to the season and this is a tough fixture for them. A full-strength side has been selected.
Highlanders Form
The Highlanders currently occupy eighth place on the table having won just two of their opening six games. Performance wise, the Highlanders have looked a lot better than last season, but still, they are struggling to get consistent results.
The Dunedin-based outfit won on the opening weekend against Moana before going down by eight points to the Blues. That was followed by an impressive away win over the Waratahs. Since then, they have lost three games.
The Highlanders lost by six points at home to the Brumbies before losing by seven at the Chiefs in round six. Last weekend, the Highlanders were well beaten, losing 47-12 at home to the Hurricanes.
Highlanders Injuries & Team News
The Highlanders desperately need a win this weekend to build some confidence. Their selection of a full-strength side shows they are not going to Melbourne to make up the numbers.
Verdict
I am backing the Melbourne Rebels to come out on top on home soil against the Highlanders.
