Moana come into their third season in Super Rugby desperately hoping to avoid the wooden spoon for the third successive year. They have been competitive in the majority of their games but have failed to get enough victories.

This season began with a 35-21 away defeat to the Highlanders. They did manage to score two tries and keep the game very close for large parts, even making more carries over the 80 minutes.

Conceding 15 turnovers was however never going to help them at this level and something they will need to improve drastically ahead of this weekend.

Fijian Drua Form

Fijian Drua had a superb season last time out, reaching the quarter-final of Super Rugby. They have surprised many over their three seasons in the tournament and have proven they can beat anyone on any given day.

Last week was, however, a familiar story for the Drua. They lost 34-10 in Auckland against the Blues. While there is no disgrace losing to one of the top sides, the performance of Drua was of a far higher standard.

In the end, they paid the price for not taking their opportunities and making big errors at crucial times. The one thing we can be sure of with Drua is that they will be exciting to watch.
