The 2023 Rugby World Cup is set to take place in France, with New Zealand looking for a third title in four years, after disappointingly finishing third to South Africa and England in 2019.

Bookmaker Sportsbet has New Zealand listed as the favourites at $3, with host team France ($4.33), 2019 runners-up England ($5) and 2019 winners South Africa ($6.50) all on the next three lines of betting.

For those wondering if Australia can repeat heir efforts of 1999, bookmakers are offering $11 for them to win the World Cup, which would prove their third in history.

As for success, New Zealand have won three Rugby World Cups and finished runners-up once, with their most recent success coming in 2011 and 2015.

South Africa also sit on three wins while England sit on just the one win in 2003.

As for all other nations, they are yet to finish in the final two, besides France, who are a three-time runners-up Nation in the years 1987, 1999 and 2011.
