Group One winners Anamoe and Gytrash have worked well at the Randwick trials on September 2 with the latter taking out the third heat of the morning.
Having his second hit out for the preparation following a third behind Eduardo on August 17, the six-year-old settled at the rear early before making his move through the middle and when popped the question by Jason Collett, he responded very well, reeling in the early leader Frostin'.
Gytrash is coming off a short autumn campaign, which followed surgery to remove a bone chip from a knee after the 2020 spring.
Sires' Produce winner Anamoe was expected to trial at Hawkesbury on August 23, but his first hit out ahead of the spring had to be delayed after having a temperature last week.
The exciting three-year-old showed no ill signs on Thursday morning and kept comfortable under James McDonald in this 742m heat, has worked to the line under his own steam for a third, finishing just under a length off Gytrash.
Both runners are expected to return soon with Anamoe scheduled for a first-up tilt in The Run To The Rose (September 11), while Gytrash will be on an Everest audition via The Shorts at Randwick on September 18.
