Converge has impressed at the Royal Randwick trials on August 20 with the Waterhouse & Bott-trained gelding winning the opening heat of the morning.
Converge is expected to return in The Run To The Rose (September 11) prior to contesting the Group One Golden Rose (September 25) where he's currently on the second line of betting behind equal favourites Anamoe and Stay Inside.
The son of Frankel improved deeper into his two-year-old season which culminated in a dominant JJ Atkins victory and has clearly appreciated being ridden colder of late, with similar tactics adopted in this August 20 hit out over 1000m.
Jockey Tim Clark, who has ridden Converge in all seven career starts, angled out late aboard the small three-year-old and reeled in older stable mates Discharged, Shout The Bar and Knight's Order with ease.
