Twilight Payment has run his last race, with connections deciding to retire the nine-year-old from racing following his 11th-placed finish in Tuesday's Melbourne Cup.
Co-owner Nick Williams released the following:
"Twilight Payment has been retired. On behalf of the owners I would like to thank
@JosephOBrien2 and all his team particularly his handler Sean Corby and Mark Power," twittered Williams.
"He has brought so much excitement to our ownership group, families and friends.
"Living Legends will be his new home."
The son of Teofilo competed in three Melbourne Cups overall and retires with prize money earnings of over $5.8 million.
