All-Star Mile favourite and 2020 Cox Plate place getter Russian Camelot had his first public outing for the prep, finishing second of six runners in a trial at Werribee in what was a nice effort by the Group One winner.

He sat up on the pace before being given a little more rein, going to the line with momentum but clearly under the tightest hold of all runners in the trial.
To his outside was the eventual trial winner, three-year-old Cherry Tortoni who is looking ready for a tilt at the Group One Australian Guineas, while in behind was Stakes performer Highly Discreet and Toorak Handicap winner Mr Quickie.

Russian Camelot may be seen first-up in the Group One Futurity Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield, but more likely will be seen first-up in the All-Star Mile before heading to Sydney for a crack at the Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m) at Randwick.
